Cervical screening update

If you have received a letter from NHS England telling you that your Cervical Smear is due you can still contact us and book an appointment.

Smear taking procedures have not changed and should be the same process that you are used to. There is still a friendly face behind the PPE!

It it important to come to the surgery for your smear if it is due. For more information check out:

Welcome to Readesmoor Medical Centre

Welcome to our new website! We have been providing medical services in Congleton for over forty years.

Our premises have multiple consulting rooms, an area for minor operations and onsite facillities for physiotherapy.

There is also a pharmacy on our premises.

Our practice team is made up of our GP partners, two salaried GPs, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Practice Nurses and Health Care Assistants. There is also a specialised bussiness team here including Senior Management, Front of House/Care Navigation, Quality and Performance and Clinical support.

The building has step free access, automatic doors at the Antrobus street entrance and an induction loop in reception.

There is a unisex disabled and baby changing facility on the ground floor Antrobus Street entrance

Once inside the building there are some steps with handrails on either side. There is also a platform lift located here to enable access to the reception area. Consulting rooms are split over three levels. Those situated on the lower level near the entrance, the majority at the same level as reception and some upstairs. There is a lift which accesses the top floor rooms.

There are 3 separate waiting areas within the practice. The largest one is located in reception area. Chairs with arms and without arms are available in each

There are 2 entrances to the practice. The main entrance is via the automatic doors on Antrobus Street. The West Street entrance is accessed via a standard front door and has a buzzer entrance system connected to reception – this is low rise access for wheelchair and pushchair users.

We are a short distance from the public car parks on Antrobus Street and West Street.  Car users that display a valid disabled badge can park safely on double yellow lines on both Antrobus Street and West Street.
